Books Read in December 2019

I know, I know, this wrap up is literally 2 months late, but what can you do? Better late than never!

December sure was a month. There was a lot of family stuff going on, celebrating birthdays and Christmas, and it was the first time in probably five or six years that all of the cousins were at my nan’s at the same time, so we got a few pictures!

And, as always, I did some reading! Not as much as other months, especially in terms of length– I went on a short book kick which had, surprisingly, no connection to it being the end of the year. My love for non-fiction is still going strong, and I finally got to a few books that have been on my TBR for years.

The Dead Smile by F. Marion Crawford 🍎🍎

Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire (this was written in 2017, but my opinions still stand)🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎

I Am I Am I Am by Maggie O’Farrell  🍎🍎🍎🍎

A House At the Bottom Of A Lake by Josh Malerman 🍎🍎

Goddess of the Hunt by Shelby Eileen 🍎🍎

84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff 🍎🍎🍎

Beneath the Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire 🍎🍎🍎🍎 (sidenote, I thought I had a Goodreads review for this, but it was literally just ‘the audiobook for this SLAPPED’, so… watch out for an actual review eventually!)

All Systems Red by Martha Wells 🍎🍎🍎

Emergency Skin by N.K. Jemisin🍎🍎🍎🍎

The Last Conversation by Paul Tremblay (I have a whole Forward collection review planned so… also look out for that! Sorry!) 🍎🍎🍎

Dusk or Dark or Dawn or Day by Seanan McGuire  🍎🍎🍎

The Vegetarian by Han Kang 🍎🍎🍎🍎

Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue 🍎🍎🍎

Wow you can tell I just… lost all energy at the end of 2019 when it came to writing reviews. I am deeply sorry, but luckily I have a great memory and also LOADS of notes and annotations for all of these reads saved, so the reviews are coming! Just very late!

Thank you for reading❤
