Top Ten Tuesday this week is listing books with one word titles.
There’s something about one word titles that capture the essence of a story more than any other title. You essentially have to summarise that book with only a single descriptor, so seeing what decisions are made with these books based on their titles really made me think about the whole process!
1. HEX by Thomas Olde Heuvelt
2. BUNNY by Mona Awad
3. UZUMAKI by Junji Ito
4. IT by Alexa Chung
5. BLOOM by Kevin Panetta, Savanna Ganucheau
6. ANIMALS/ADULTS by Emma Jane Unsworth
6. SHEETS by Brenna Thummler
7. FEED by Mira Grant
8. PET by Akwaeke Emezi
9. NOS4A2 by Joe Hill
10. DIG by A.S. King
This was a fun prompt! I have a new appreciation for titles, and I’m definitely going to make myself think more deeply about the books I pick up based on their titles.
Thank you for readingā¤
Great list! Feed made my list this week too, and Sheets is one I’d like to check out.

Thank you! I love Bunny’s cover, all the covers use the red and the bunny in the centre so it’s an amazing minimalist approach! I noticed Circe on your list, a lot of people seemed to have mentioned that one, makes me feel left out š

I love books with one-word titles! This was a fun prompt this week. I chose to focus solely on 2020 releases, and that was interesting. I haven’t read any of your choices, but I’ve seen Feed and NOS4A2 around.
